Allhaven

My First World, Allhaven

A General Primer

Allhaven was my first homebrew world and the one that’s been changed the most.

Allhaven is how I learned how to World Build and the place I spent most of my creative hours in at one point of my life. Allhaven has been completely revised and remade five times now but each time I needed to build it back up I saw that it’s foundation was stronger than the last.

I’m glad I called Allhaven a home for my stories at one point it will always be part of Allhaven was once the setting for 5 concurrent game, each had their own unique set of Heroes and Adventurers.

Allhaven, The Lore

The Creation of Allhaven

Flowing outside the realms and worlds of all D&D adventures there exists a great expanse filled with power and mystery. Protecting the different worlds from the outside are Crystal Spheres. There is one protecting each world of D&D and it is extremely difficult to get past these Spheres without the use of Magic. Protecting these Spheres are the Shadermind, a highly intelligent species made from fragments of the Crystals. When worlds are created by powerful forces so are the Crystal Spheres.

The two entities which created Allhaven are the Architect and the Engineer. These two entities worked in tandem to create Allhaven. The Architect established how the life force (Magic) of Allhaven would flow creating the Elemental Planes and those who would protect them, Elemental Races. The Engineer created a Force (Mysticism) that would bind everything together. The Engineer created the Feywind the Stormlands and the Primaterial Realms leaving the Titans to protect the Elemental Planes from outside threats in the Primaterial. After all that the Architect and Engineer grew tired and made 18 Gods to inhabit and create beings within the Primaterial.

Conflict arised when a 19th God named Alistair appeared and broke Fissures in the world before being banished by the might of the Other Gods. Alistair was banished but not before the Engineer and Architect wrote the Great Prophecy. This stated that one day Alistair would return and bring great ruin to Allhaven by consuming it’s Timeline itself resulting in Allhaven never existing in the first place.

What are the Fissures? The Fissures are tears in the Primaterial which lead to other world in the D&D universe, which leads to the colonization of other Pantheons of Gods within Allhaven. There are three Fissures. The White Nothing, a great expanse which is a huge frigid land mass on the northernmost part of the World. The Fallen Mountain, a Mountain in the center of the World which branches into different worlds itself, and goes so far down that one could reach the Underworld through it if they wished. The Southern Sea, A vast unwealdy ocean that only the most proficient sailors can traverse, but if you go far enough you might find yourself in the Docks of Greyhawk.

Who are the Gods and what are their purposes? Well the gods molded the Allhaven and created the Three Continents as well as the different animals that inhabit the Allhaven. Apart from that each of the eighteen Gods shepherded and created one of the eighteen races and in the The Mythic Times each one established their own Envelope which establishes what they’re the God of.

The Three Brothers of Creation/The Three Inheritors

The Three Inheritors Were built by the Prime Creator's before they left to the Mythic Realm to watch over their creation and were told that once their job was done they would be shepherded to the Mythic Realm as well. Wolfnod created the First Human races and their Progenitor gods and layed out the foundation of dirt and land onto Allhaven, Wolfnod was said to have still walked Allhaven during the Mythic Years. Aedelwine created the Progenitor gods of the Elves and brought the water from the elemental planes into Allhaven to flow for their people Aedelwine was “killed” by Narim-Sin. Narim-Sin opened up the gates of the Stormwilds to let the animals, dragons, and beasts roam the land after creating the Progenitor gods of the Races of the Folk. Narim-Sin “died” while attacking Aedelwine for his hatred of the Dragons and Beasts.

Each of the Three Inheritors created a ring by which their children could use to mold the world in the same ways that they had.
